Greenhill School (Addison, Texas)

Greenhill School is a co-educational day school located in Addison, Texas. Founded in 1950 by Bernard Fulton, Greenhill now has an enrollment of over 1,200 students, from grades K-12. Greenhill was the first co-educational independent school in the greater Dallas area and is one of few without uniforms or religious affiliation. Greenhill was ranked top 40 by Worth Magazine as a feeder school into Harvard, Yale, and Princeton.

The average SAT scores for seniors in 2005 were 686 verbal and 657 math [1], and nearly all graduates continue on to four year colleges.

The Greenhill mascot is the hornet, and the school colors are green and gold.

Since the school's move to its current campus at Spring Valley and Midway Rd., the campus has also been the home to a large number of peacocks who roam freely amongst the students.

In 2006, the school constructed a new Lower and Preschool, as well as an addition to the Upper schools.

The school newspaper is the Evergreen, which has been recognized as one of the leading high school publications in the country. The school's literary magazine, Montage, has also been recognized by The Columbia Scholastic Press Association, winning multiple gold and silver crowns over the years.
