Born 'daan saaf' of mixed ancestry i.e. half Southern half Geordie. Escaped at an early age and brought up God's own country (Yorkshire).
I grew up playing association football and sometimes cricket but have grown extremely disillusioned about the 'beautiful game' which IMO was ruined by the Premier League, the Champions League, Alex Ferguson, FIFA and the Bosman ruling.
I'm 32 and an Economics graduate. I currently live in Lancashire and sometimes watch Blackpool Panthers as I can't bring myself to support Wigan. My favourite team is Whitehaven RLFC as I used to live up there.
I also like rugby union but only watch it on TV as I don't live near any half-way respectable teams.
I spent a few years teaching English abroad and so am extremely pedantic about issues of grammar. I will soon be retraining as a radiographer at Bradford University which means moving to 'occupied Yorkshire' (Barnoldswick).
