[edit] Mr. Miyagi's style
Goju ryu is Mr. Miyagi's style as you could observe the movements in what he is teaching. The "Wax on, wax off" movements are part of Goju ryu since the art is defensive rather than offensive.

A large number of people over at Gojuryu.net came up with a clear and definitive definition of Goju-Ryu. The definition is not of any particular association or dojo, just Goju-Ryu in general.
