Named in tribute to the late comic actress Gilda Radner, who died of ovarian cancer in 1989, Gilda's Club [ http://www.gildasclub.org/] is a place where cancer patients and their families can go to be around other people in the same situation to share support, coping, and wellness strategies. It grew to multiple locations across the country. Gilda's Club was founded by Joanna Bull, Gilda Radner's therapist during the time she had cancer. Gilda's story can be read in her book, "It's Always Something."
