Geoff McHenry is a fictional character in the Valiant Comics universe, created by legendary writer and former Marvel Comics editor-in-chief Jim Shooter and Bob Layton. First appearing in Solar: Man of the Atom #10.
Geoff is a Geomancer - there is one every generation and they have the ability to pick up psychic residue and impressions from nearby objects and living organisms. They perceive those impressions as "whispers from the Earth."
Geoff was a Geomancer from 1992, he battled alongside the Valiant Comics heroes during the Unity conflict.
[edit] History
In 1985, a child named Geoff McHenry was taken by his "uncle", Buck McHenry, to be trained to become the next Geomancer. He would become one of the greatest and most influential Geomancers of all time, especially in regard to his involvement in the Unity Conflict in the Lost Land.
During the Unity conflict, it was Geoff who sent the newborn son of Kris Hathaway (see Harbingers) into the future, where he would someday become Magnus, Robot Fighter.
He was lost for a time, during which he was temporarily replaced by his uncle, Clay McHenry. Eventually, he returned, and resumed his role once more.
In the future, he would someday train his "niece", Lucinda Mendez, to take on his role as the Earth's Geomancer.
