Gary Wilkinson (born April 7, 1966) is an English professional snooker player.
Wilkinson turned professional in 1987, and climbed the rankings to reach the number five spot within four years, but he failed to live up to his early promise, and has never won a ranking tournament.
However, Wilkinson did capture one major title, becoming the World Matchplay Champion for 1992. This tournament was only staged once, and because Wilkinson never won any title since, he was henceforth introduced as "the World Matchplay champion for 1992" by MC Alan Hughes. In the 21st century, this sounded a little embarrassing.
