[edit] The Legend of Zelda
Ganon's lair in The Legend of Zelda (officially known as "Level 9") is more of an underground dungeon than a castle. It is accessible from Spectacle Rock on Death Mountain.
[edit] A Link to the Past
Ganon's Tower is on top of Death Mountain in the Dark World, where Hera's Tower was in the Light World. Link's battle with Ganon begins here, against his minion Agahnim, but Ganon escapes from his body and goes to the Pyramid of Power, where Link fights him to the death.
[edit] Ocarina of Time
Ganon's Castle replaces Hyrule Castle in the future, after Ganondorf has taken hold of the kingdom. It floats in the sky over what appears to be a lake of lava. Link cannot access it without the aid of the six sages, who create a shining rainbow bridge to allow access. Inside, he must deal with tests pertaining to each sage before entering the tower itself. Furthermore, during his climb up the tower, he must deal with some of the strongest enemies in the game before reaching the top, where Ganondorf waits. After the first battle with Ganondorf, the castle collapses but the game is not over as Link must fight Ganondorf, who is transformed into the fiendish Ganon on the ruins.
[edit] The Wind Waker
Ganon's castle is located in underwater Hyule. It cannot be accessed until Link's Master Sword has finally been restored to its original power, thus allowing him to remove the invisible barrier blocking the path. The path to Ganon's Castle begins at a bridge behind Hyrule Castle and winds through a canyon, ending at the castle entrance. Ganon's Castle in Wind Waker shares some characteristics from the Ocarina of Time version of Ganon's Castle, such as mini-dungeons based off the areas. There are four of these areas, and at the end of each, a black-and-white version of the dungeon's boss must be fought. After passing these areas, Link will obtain the Light Arrow and engage Ganon in a final showdown at the top of the tower. In the game's ending, Ganondorf is stabbed with the Master Sword in the head, turning to stone in the process. Afterwards the "walls" that kept the ocean from overflowing the castle disappear, and Link must escape.
