Frank Scott-Walford

Frank Scott-Walford (born ?, in Perry Barr, Birmingham - died. ?) was a the Manager of Leeds City football club between 1908-1912.
Scott-Walford, was aged 36 when appointed and had trained as an engineer before becoming immersed in football.
In his playing days, he had kept goal as an amateur with Tottenham Hotspur and played subsequently for Lincoln City, Small Heath and Aston Villa. But his playing ability never matched his organisational skill and he went on to form the Enfield and District League and became a Southern League referee. He was also a keen cricketer and cyclist.
On March 16, 1908, Leeds City F.C. approached Scott-Walford, then manager of Southern League side Brighton, and offered him the manager's job. On March 26, 1908, Brighton released him to join the West Yorkshire club.
