Eiken, Norway

Eiken is a former municipality in Vest-Agder county, Norway.
From 1837 Eiken constituted the northern part of Eiken og Hægebostad formannskapsdistrikt. On 1 January 1916 the municipality was split in two parts, the municipalities Eiken and Hægebostad. At that time Eiken had a population of 932.
On 1 January 1963 the two municipalities were reunited, this time going under the name Hægebostad. Before the merger the population of Eiken was 784.
