Edward Ng

Ng, Edward W. received his PhD degree in astronomy/applied mathematics from Columbia University. He has been employed at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory(JPL) of the California Institute of Technology, under contract with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). He retired in March of 2006. E. Ng was elected a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and is cited in the American Men and Women of Science. He was the editor of "Symbolic and Algebraic Computation", a Monograph published by Springer Verlag. He has published a number of journal and conference articles in various mathematical applications of space sciences and engineering. His papers have appeared in Astrophysical Journal, Mathematics of Computation, Journal of Mathematics & Physics, Journal of Computational Physics, ACM Transactions on Mathematical Softwareand Computers and Mathematics with Applications. Ng was born and grew up in Hong Kong and came to the US for college and post-graduate education. He is married and has 3 sons.
