This article does not give any information about the game it was written about, and furthermore it doesn't follow the Wikipedia page format. Anyone with more information, perhaps who has played the game? Genocidal 03:59, 12 January 2006 (UTC)
I have the first Dungeon Explorer for the TurboGrafx-16 (side note - there may be multiple versions for different systems). It was a dungeon crawler that was more like Gauntlet with a storyline. The storyline being an evil demon (Natas, I believe, given its backward spelling) is corrupting the land and is seeking the legendary Ora stone. You had a large overworld to explore, but your initial paths were limited. Beating each dungeon would allow you to see more. You could also return back to dungeons, though there was little incentive. It is an enjoyable game, but a key perk was the ability to play with 5 players using the multi-tap. Granted, without it you were stuck playing single-player, but it was fun to try to play through, and had a few secrets to the game (such as the princess class). Bahaumaut 04:51, 13 January 2006 (UTC)
I've found reference to multiple games called Dungeon Explorer. The TurboGrafx-16 version seems to be, by far, the most prominent, however, so I put an infobox up for it. I think we should use this article for the TG16 version, possibly making reference to the others at the end.Miguel Cervantes 15:56, 15 January 2006 (UTC)
There's two games on the TG-16 systems, this one, and DE II on Super CD-rom. There's a Sega CD version that played nothing like the others, and a Super Famicom port called Crystal Beans. It plays a lot like DE II, same background graphics, some levels EXACTLY the same, but the players are now "super deformed" and overly cute. Bosses are dffrent, and players now have close-range attacks. --Ozzy 98 02:31, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
