Drek
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Drek was originally a term used by Yiddish-speaking Jews (mostly from Eastern Europe) meaning "shit" or "crap." Over the years it has entered into more general usage and is often used by non-Jews to describe something which is considered to be of inferior quality. Certain movie critics have used this term in creative and unexpected ways, describing a movie or a performance that is sub-standard. In cities with larger populations of Jewish people of Eastern European descent, it would not be uncommon to hear someone say, "That is just so much drek."
