Donald F. Ferguson

Dr. Donald Ferguson (b. 1960) is an IBM Fellow and Chief Architect for IBM's Software Group (SWG). IBM Software Group makes infrastructure software (middleware), application development tools and systems/application management software for business applications. SWG is the second largest software company, after Microsoft.
Ferguson became an IBM Fellow in 2001. Previously, he was the Chief Architect for WebSphere and the WebSphere products, which provide support for dynamic Web applications. Prior to transfering to IBM SWG, Ferguson was a Research Staff Member in the IBM T.J. Watson Research Center. He graduated with a PhD. in Computer Science from Columbia University in 1989.
