Diario 16

Diario 16 (Spanish for "Diary 16") was one of the most widely-circulated newspapers in Spain. According to the 1981 General Media Study (Estudio General de Medios), it had about 100 thousand readers. It often criticized President George Bush[1], ETA[2] and sometimes being the center of Law cases.[3]
It was first published on October 18, 1976, during the early stages of the Spanish transition to democracy, with the French Le Monde as its model. The last day of publication was November 7, 2001.
