- DEbelah is an amazing singer and can hit those notes like a screaming two-year-old but she cannot sing higher than Mariah Carey (or at least she has not yet showcased that she can). I just want to get it striaght that Mariah Carey- Adam Lopez- and Minnie Reperton are the top Whistle Register singers and Debelah is definately getting up there.
[edit] Debelah's Career
Debelah Morgan has came out with two newer songs since "Why Did You Have To Be." These two songs are featured on the soundtrack to "Road Kings." The songs are called, "Fly Free" which is written by Debelah and Giloh Morgan. The other is called, "I'll Take You There." Which is a remake of the classic. This track is performed by N'Finity featuring Neicy and Debelah Morgan.
[edit] Seventh octave wonders
Debelah doesnt belong in this category so dont keep putting her back in there whoevers doing it.
- She is noted on MSN for having a five-octave range, so please explain fully how that doesn't qualify her? Antares33712 14:27, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
- A because she doesnt have a 5 octave range, and B because a 5 octave range may mean that she can sing from B1-B6 which means she wouldnt be in the seventh octave category. The range doesnt dictate weather she is in this category or not. Show a note and she gets in.
- As a female she would not be singing bass (a woman singing B1? Really, if Mariah, Rachelle, and even Georgia Brown aren't singing B1, you tell me how that girlie voice can. secondly, how can you prove that MSN and All Music are wrong. Just because you haven't heard her sing that note in a song doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Somebody attributed that fact to her and if MSN and All Music are standing behind this, why are we denying it, without proof. Antares33712 18:25, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
- Obviously this guy dosent even know "THE DEBELAH MORGAN" we are talking about, dude every single song she made has like whistle register on it. its even higher than christina aguileras high note!!! and christina is like five octaves!!! thats LOL for you!!! i hope you have napster and listen to her entire album, slap on the face!!! not five octave??? hahaha
- This is original research. Possessing a five-octave voice doesn't in and of itself prove she is capble of even whistle register singing, let alone seventh octave singing. She could well have abilities in the first octave, below Barry White? Tim Storms sang an 8hz note. Do you have any proof she can sing in the whistle register? If not, we could take her out of the 7th octave/whistle register categories for lack of citation. 64.12.116.11 03:25, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

- This is by far the most pathetic thing I have read. Why are we doubting her abilities. She sings notes like a toddler squeals and shrieks; in fact, I secretly suspect she is Rachelle Ferrell's little sister ( joke ), but she is so underrated as a vocalist. 65.122.138.194 22:26, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

- Mariah only has 4 octaves of range, Rachelle has 4.5, and Georgia Brown is supposed to be able to sing as low as G2 but w/e. Christina has little more than 3 octaves of range, and Debelah probably has like 4 at the most. 5 octaves is alot. I have 5.5 octaves of range and sing from A1-F7. So unless you can prove Debelah can sing in a five octave range, then she doesnt. If her highest note is B6, her lowest would have to be B1. If her lowest is C3, her highest would have to be C8. KIts just not Debelah. Myke 08:41, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] About Audio/Video Section
There is a section called "Audio/Video" on this article. There three samples include from Debelah Morgan's music, with the links to samples (which are in three different sites). My opinion is, it is unnecessary to have a section like this on the article, also it doesn't look nice at view. Should it be removed or not? What do you think? Master Spider 14:02, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
- I've removed it. We don't link directly to external media samples on wikipedia; media samples can be uploaded to wikipedia however if they quallify under the fair use criteria. . Graham talk 12:36, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] newly added reference
If anyone has noticed the newly added reference at the top of the article, and finds it unsightly, feel free to put it into a proper footnote format. I tried to do it but I'm computer retarded and it didn't work. This should help clear up some disputes about her status as a whistle singer on this page..so please don't delete it! I spent a lot of time searching for it. The website is at the bottom as well. I hope this is enough to keep her on the page.207.200.116.11 08:57, 19 August 2006 (UTC)AquaMaree
