Death Lives is an episode from the third season of the FOX animated television series Family Guy. Guest starring Adam Carolla as Death, Peter Frampton as himself and Estelle Harris as Death's mother.

[edit] Plot summary
On their wedding anniversary, Peter sends Lois on a scavenger hunt so he can go play golf at Barrington. There, he is struck by lightning (during this incident Peter soils himself as mentioned by Death) and has a near-death experience in which Death tries to show Peter that his marriage is in trouble, in exchange Peter helps Death get a date with a pet shop clerk.
Death takes Peter back in time to his courtship of Lois. Peter did not make a good impression on Lois's father, Carter Pewterschmidt, who had his servants knock Peter out and drop him off a plane into the ocean.
He was rescued by the U.S. Navy ship which Quagmire served on. Back ashore, Peter gets a ride with Cleveland Brown back to Rhode Island (which they were pursued by members of the Ku Klux Klan), where he refuses Carter's offer of $1 million to stay away from his daughter.
Peter realizes that he has not appreciated his wife as much recently, and once he's back in his body, he asks Death to pay a visit to Peter Frampton who is convinced to serenade Lois with their song. At the end of the episode, however, Death does not enjoy his date with the pet shop worker, as she harps on about animal rights, and he kills her.

- Adam Carolla reprises his role as Death after making an appearance in the season 2 episode Wasted Talent. Death was previously voiced by Norm MacDonald in the Season 2 episode Death is a Bitch.

- A flashback to Peter and Lois' courtship reveals that their song is "Baby, I Love Your Way" by Peter Frampton, who appears as himself to sing it at the end.
- Also in this flashback, Death noticed when he has to kill the truck driver who crashed the truck that was playing Peter and Lois' song, and wonders why he had ever looked like that, saying "I must have been high." (he had an afro and was wearing a hippie-style robe, an obvious reference to the 70s).
- Chris and Stewie read an Archie comic book featuring the character Jughead.
- To impress Lois, Peter uses his stomach to imitate actor Arte Johnson.
- Peter tries to pass off the premise of the pulp hero The Shadow as his personal revelation.
- For an unknown reason, Death has a picture of actor Edward James Olmos (and Olmos' ass) in his wallet.
- Peter confuses the chasing Ku Klux Klan members with ghosts.
- Peter encourages Death by arguing “Robert Reed got Florence Henderson.” Reed and Henderson played Mike and Carol Brady on The Brady Bunch.
- Peter and Death shop for clothes at The Gap.
- When Death arrives at Peter Frampton's house to persuade him to visit the golf course, Frampton protests, saying that Death should be "at Keith Richard's house." Death also asks Frampton to bring "the thing that makes your guitar go 'wah wah wah'," referencing Frampton's famous use of a talkbox to make his guitar "talk."
