Did Darius II really die in 404 BC? I've often seen 405 BC. For instance here. Ptolemy's Canon gives his 19th year as 405, and Artaxerxes II's first year as 404, but at some point the Canon switches from having the year a person succeeds be his zeroth year to having it be his first year, so I'm not sure. Anyone any clearer on this? john k 15:06, 26 September 2005 (UTC)
