Danni Quee is a fictional character in the Star Wars Expanded universe.

She was "an attractive young woman, small of frame, with long curly blonde hair and green eyes. She was adventurous and independent by nature and found her Core world home planet overcrowded and boring." She was introducted in Star Wars: The New Jedi Order by R.A. Salvatore At the beginning of the New Jedi Order series, she was 21 years old.

At the beginning of the Yuuzhan Vong invasion, she was a scientist working on Ex-Gal 4 science outpost when it was surrounded by imperial forces at the beginning of the Yuuzhan Vong war. She was one of the original 15-member crew which established a base, like a walled fort on the planet of Belakdan and set up listening and looking equipment to monitor the for extra-galactic life.

Unknown to any of them, one of the crew members, Yomin Carr, was a disguised advance agent for the Praetorite Vong. When the scientists discovered the leading Worldship of the invasion, it was disguised as a comet, but behaved oddly. Since its origin appears extra-galactic, Danni decided to take the Spacecaster-class shuttle closer to investigate. Two other scientists, Bensin Tomri and Cho Badaleg, went with her.

Yomin Carr muted the signals sent to ExGal so that no warning could be given and warned the war coordinator Prefect Da'Gara of the Spacecasters pending arrival. He noted that they should take special heed of Danni. It was decided that her will could not be bent against her own people, so she would be killed honourably as a sacrifice.

The team on the Spacecaster noticed the bad reception but attributed it to interference from the Belkadan planetary storms which appeared to be worsening. In their absence, the remaining scientists were killed by the storms, which were actually a molecular transformation set in motion previously by Yomin Carr.

The scientists on the Spacecaster land on the icy fourth planet of the Helska system. The readings they obtain do not make sense but before they can analyse them, they are attacked by the Yuuzan Vong who disable their craft and capture them. Cho Badeleg is killed during the capture and Bensin Tomri ritually executed soon after. Danni is confined in an icy dome shaped chamber which can only be reached using an enviro suit provided by the Yuuzan Vong.

After several days another prisoner was brought to the cell, Jedi Miko Reglia of the Dozen and Two Avengers. They had been tracking smugglers and stumbled across the Spacecasters trail.

The Yuuzan Vong decided Miko was unworthy and began the process of breaking down his mind with psychological torture. Miko and Danni attacked them and escaped the cell with their captor's enviro suits. This was anticipated, however, and they were recaptured in the Worldship and taken to the worship of the yammosk, where Miko was tortured. This continued on and off for days, with Danni trying to comfort Miko but unable to help him.

During an attack on the Yuuzhan Vong, Jacen Solo landed on the planet and hears a cry of distress. He recognised Miko Reglia collapsed on the floor, but the source of the call was actually Danni. When the guards came to take Miko, he, Jacen and Danni fought back. Miko was killed in the fight, but Danni and Jacen escaped. Jacen recognised that Danni had the capacity to become a great Jedi. She was later trained by Luke Skywalker, but never truly took to his teachings.

She was also responsible for the breakthrough in the jamming of yammosk signals. Later in the war, she participated in Wraith Squadron's mission to Vong-held Coruscant and the Jedi mission to find Zonama Sekot.

During the time that Jacen was recuperating on Mon Calamari, Danni spent time with him at Mester Reef. It was during this time that the idea of Jacen and Danni as a couple was introduced, though by the time of The Unifying Force it is shown to the reader that she had come close to falling in love with him but never had. After that, in the Dark Nest Trilogy, it is apparent that the two have become estranged from one another in the intervening seven years.
