Thank you very much for your interest in the Eurovision article, and in Helena. I share your enthusiasm for Helena: I was there in Kiev when she won, with her song which was very good.

May I please ask you, however, that if you want to do such things as replacing Ruslana's name on the "successful winners" list, then you discuss the issue on the talk page of the article first? There is no hard rule which specifies how much success an artist shuld have for inclusion in this list: but if you want to propose one, then please go ahead, and then other people will be happy to talk about it with you. The Eurovision Broadcasting Union goes by FYR Macedonia, plus this is a much smaller in the charts and the country name is used on all Eurovision pages. Please stop changing this. Also, Germany performed in English and in Turkish at Istanbul in 2004. Please do not change correct information into wrong information. Evilperson 20 20:15, 20 August 2006 (UTC)

I'll agree on 2006, but in the other years it was FYR Macedonia. I even changed 2002 because it only said Macedonia.

[edit] RE: Helena Paparizou's Mambo in Ireland

The way I know is that for major releases, Ireland and the UK always have the same releases. A lot of the distributors are merged for them anyway - as far as I know Sony BMG's division for the two is Sony BMG UK & Ireland - only a few bother to seperate the two e.g. UMG. It's more than an assumption - it's common knowledge. Nearly all UK or Irish channels are available in both, while the MTV channels are intended for both (see MTV UK and Ireland). And I'm not exactly sure what you mean by my userpage. Do you mean the userboxes? - ^Рэд_хот 19:22, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

Actually I just noticed that Sony BMG have actually split Sony BMG UK & Ireland into SONY BMG MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT (UK) LIMITED and SONY BMG MUSIC ENTERTAINMENT (IRELAND) LIMITED (must have been quite recently) but the point still stands. - ^Рэд_хот 19:24, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

Actually, I just realised now, they haven't really - just on paper. If you go to sonybmg.ie the only useful link relating to Sony BMG is one to sonybmgmusic.co.uk. - ^Рэд_хот 19:27, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

I see. That makes it marginally less likely, but still overwhelmingly likely. It's like, if it was gonna be Sony BMG it was like 99% likely, now its just 97%. - ^Рэд_хот 19:30, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

(I forgot ANOTHER bit) Looking at AATW's artists it goes back up to 99% likely as Cascada, Dannii Minogue, and Frankee have all had popular releases in Ireland. I did some searching on iTunes Ireland and all the other artists I checked were available for purchase too. - ^Рэд_хот 19:34, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

Ok I've now fully investigated AATW's artists. All the ones that are released, are on iTunes Ireland with AATW listed as the copyright holder. - ^Рэд_хот 19:38, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

Because they're releases are on iTunes Ireland which is one of the few places where the Irish and UK catalogues are seperate. This is the OFFICIAL Irish Singles Chart as of now (look at #1 and #5) [1] - ^Рэд_хот 19:43, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

But notice it doesn't mention Ireland at all. Small-ish labels based in the UK usually don't. It's a bit messy cause Ireland has different release dates. It doesn't mention Cascada or Mick Modell VS Jessy in Ireland either but they're on the chart. It's probably to do with who distributes their CDs for them (it's probably not themselves since they're probably too small to make it economically feasable) - ^Рэд_хот 19:54, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

I don't really know what kind of proof you want. I've shown you they've had popular releases in Ireland, and they don't mention Irish releases for them on their site, so in the very likely event that Mambo! will be released in Ireland, it won't be any different. - ^Рэд_хот 19:56, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

Ok. Now I'm very confused. I've provided you with proof that AATW do have releases in Ireland, despite not saying it on their site. Yet you still seem to doubt it. I live in Ireland and know a great deal about Irish releases, and their relationship to UK ones, and can very close to guarantee you that it will be out in Ireland. But for the sake of absolute cetainty, I've e-mailed AATW to be completely, 100%, no-doubt, positively certain. - ^Рэд_хот 20:17, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

Stop changing the name of Republic of Macedonia/FYR Macedonia. If you have problems comprehending the fact that the EBU calls the country FYR Macedonia, then I think you should stay away from these articles and stop vandalizing them. Evilperson 20 21:05, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

I think I know what vandalism is and I dont need new users telling me what I should do and explaining to me what I have said. Of course I said that it was acceptable to put Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, however, I looked into it after you and Aldux kept reverting each others edits and saw that the EBU calls it FYR Macedonia.
