[edit] Welcome and about relatives
Hmm, you haven't been welcomed yet? well: Welcome to wikipedia! I hope you like it here and decide to stick around. Here are some useful links for beginners:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- Tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
- help desk
- Help chat
If you need help, just go to the two last links, ask an administrator (I'm not the best person to ask), or you can also add {{help me}} to your talk page (this one), ask your question(s), and someone will be with you ASAP.
[edit] Orchids
Now, about the relatives you've been adding in some orchid genera- they're really not needed. I started the Stanhopeinae article, and if anyone wants to see the relatives they can just click the Stanhopeinae link in the taxobox. Adding the "relatives" section to all the articles is not necessary, takes too much time, and clutters the page. I really don't know much about orchids, so please check out the Stanhopeinae article and fix whatever errors I might have made (ex:I noticed one of them was a subgenus and not a genus). Thanks! --TheAlphaWolf 14:04, 22 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Mentor Graphics
Hi, Chounder!
You added a section to the Mentor Graphics page that looks like it was taken from a PR description of how the company was founded. Is this the case? If so, did you get permission to use it? It's looks too big to copy under 'fair use' unless you have explicit permission, in which case this should be noted on the page.
Also, it looks too 'public relations' like to be an encyclopedia article. It may take some calming down.... LouScheffer 17:01, 26 April 2006 (UTC)
