Chicago Shady Dealer
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Chicago Shady Dealer is the student humor newspaper of the University of Chicago. In the past, there have been many attempts to establish humor publications at the University, but most rarely lasted over a year or two. Established in 2005, the Chicago Shady Dealer publishes articles that satirize campus life and fabricate outlandish news stories, often mocking the University's intellectual "Life of the Mind" atmosphere. Examples of articles include the economics department's solution to poverty by launching the poor into space and Jesus's appearance at a local National Honor Society meeting. The Shady Dealer is published three times each quarter.
