Charles III, Duke of Parma

Charles III, Italian: Carlo III (January 14, 1823 - March 27, 1854) was Duke of Parma from 1848 to 1854. He was the son of Charles II of Parma and Maria-Theresa of Savoy, daughter of Victor Emmanuel I of Sardinia.
In 1845, he married Louise of Artois (1819-1864), daughter of Charles Ferdinand, duc de Berry. The following children were born from this marriage:
- Margherita (1847-1893). Married Don Carlos Maria, Infante of Spain, Duke of Madrid. As pretender to the Spanish Throne, he used the name Carlos VII.
- Enrico, Count di Bardi (1851-1905). Married first infanta Louise of Sicily (had a daughter together) and second infanta Adelgundes of Portugal, Duchess of Guimaraes (daughter of Miguel of Portugal).
- Alicia "Alix" (1849-1935). Married Ferdinand IV of Tuscany.
He was assassinated. He was succeed by his son Robert I.
