Can't Buy Me Love is a 1987 teen comedy film directed by Steve Rash. It stars Patrick Dempsey, Amanda Peterson, Courtney Gains, Tina Caspary, and a young Seth Green. The movie was shot on location in Tucson, Arizona at Tucson High Magnet School (then known as Tucson High School).
'Can't Buy Me Love' is one of the only high school set films filmed while classes were in session. Tucson High became a living set during production.
The movie was loosely remade in 2003 as Love Don't Cost a Thing.

Ronald Miller is tired of being a nerd, and makes a deal with one of the most popular girls in school to help him break into the "cool" clique. He offers her a thousand dollars to pretend to be his girlfriend for a month. It succeeds, but he soon learns that the price of popularity may be higher than he expected when he ditches his nerdy but loyal true friends and he discovers how shallow, narcissistic, and vain the populars can be.
