Bollate is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Milan in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 10 km northwest of Milan. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 37,556 and an area of 15.9 km².[1]
The municipality of Bollate contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Cascina del Sole, Cassina Nuova, Castellazzo, and Ospiate.
Bollate borders the following municipalities: Paderno Dugnano, Senago, Garbagnate Milanese, Arese, Cormano, Novate Milanese, Baranzate.
