Bill Leeb
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Bill Leeb is a musician, born Wilhelm Anton Leeb on September 21, 1966 1 in Vienna (Austria).
Leeb began his career when he joined the industrial band Skinny Puppy under the pseudonym Wilhelm Schroeder in 1982, arranging basslines and playing keyboards on the early Skinny Puppy albums Bites, Remission and the single "Stairs and Flowers". He was fired from the group around 1986 due to an inability to play his parts live - often resulting in his keyboard being turned off - and differing musical opinions. [citation needed]
Leeb quickly formed the industrial project Front Line Assembly together with Michael Balch, and later Rhys Fulber and Chris Peterson. Though Front Line Assembly has had consistent underground success, Leeb's most widely known efforts are through his side project, Delerium, which had a major hit in the late nineties with "Silence," featuring Sarah McLachlan.
Musical projects in which Bill Leeb has participated in include:
- Front Line Assembly
- Delerium
- Synæsthesia
- Cyberaktif (with cEvin Key)
- Noise Unit
- Pro>Tech
- Intermix
- Equinox

Bill Leeb lives in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. His ex-wife, Carylann Loeppky, made a lot of the artwork for his records over the years. He has no children. He has recently sold much of the equipment used on early Front Line Assembly albums through Ebay. Earlier rumours of Bill Leeb's interest in collecting Jilly Cooper romance novels have turned out to be erroneous. These were purchased by his girlfriend through Mr. Leeb's ebay account, which she is tasked with maintaining.
