Barry Mason

Barry Mason (born in Wigan) was a leading English songwriter of the 1960s, with many gold and platinum awards for works including such songs as Love Grows, The Last Waltz, Here It Comes Again, There Goes My First Love, and Delilah. His songs have been covered by Tom Jones, David Essex, The Drifters, Rod Stewart, Petula Clark, Perry Como, Elvis Presley, Engelbert Humperdinck, The Fortunes, Charles Aznavour and Barbra Streisand.
He has received five Ivor Novello Awards, the last in 1998.
