Bad Girl is the 6th studio album by American singer La Toya Jackson. The album was first recorded in 1989 under Teldec Records in Germany, and was supposed to be released in August 1989 under the name On My Own. Disagreements between Jackson's management and Teldec Records caused a one-year delay and the album was later licensed to Sherman Records. Until that time the album had included 10 tracks and Jackson added two more songs ("Sexual Feeling", recorded in Italy, and "You And Me", recorded in Sweden) to the album. From then, it was licensed to countless small record labels, who released the album under many different titles, such as He's My Brother, Gold, Playboy, Sexual Feeling, Forever Gold, Spotlight on La Toya Jackson, Be My Lover, and Restless Heart.
The Bad Girl album is one of the few albums in La Toya's back catalogue that is still in print today, and it continues to be re-released under many different covers and names. The album has become a favorite among La Toya's fans, not because of the quality of the songs but because of the wide availability. The album can always be found on eBay and most online retail stores.

[edit] Various Issues
[edit] 1995 Retro Music Issue
The most common of the many issues of Bad Girl is the one shown at the left. This issue only contains 10 of the 12 original tracks but is still very easy to find because of its widespread release. The album was issued by Retro Music, a Canadian label, in 1995, and is still in print. It can easily be found in most online retail stores such as Amazon.
[edit] Why Don't You Want My Love?
A rare German issue of Bad Girl was titled Why Don't You Want My Love? and featured an extra 13th track called "Why Don't You Want My Love? (Bruce Forest Remix)". A single for the track was released on BCM Records and was intended for an all-new album. However, the record label wasn't able to complete the album and this was the only track that ever surfaced. The German "Legend" label bought the rights to the song and put it on an album with the 12 tracks from Bad Girl. It was released in 1993.
