Can I suggest a better title than "Australian Comedy" ? Perhaps "links between Australian tv comedians" ? Unless the article's going to be about Australian Comedy in general, down the track? I've linked to your page as "List Of Australian TV Comedians".

I hope the changes just made resolve the following suggestions:

1. no sources - have linked the show articles and the comedians articles
2. no definition of 'major' - have added a line to the article to explain this (hopefully)
3. contains to-do text - have moved to talk page
4. no justification of the importance of the shows - as above (point 1), they are now linked
5. no way to know if lack of * means they didnt appear or if the information isnt available - it means they didn't appear - don't think that needed explaining?
6. would be unmanagably wide if more shows were added. - thats a layout issue, not a content issue, and can be worried about when the time comes

I admit I created the table/article when I was very new to Wikipedia - I was actually embarrassed to see it still looked the same.. I will try to make it look nicer as well! -- Chuq 10:29, 3 April 2006 (UTC)

I am glad that you are willing to bring the article up to the necessary standard, although there are some things that really have to be done before that is the case. The main problem with this article is that there are no verifiable sources for the information. Verifiable sources mean that there is published proof from reliable sources that the information presented is true. Unfortunately none of the claims made in this article can be verified by references made (because there are no references). This is really important because otherwise there is no way to know if the information is true, which would make the information fairly useless (and prone to deletion). You can see how to make an article's content verifiable at the official policy page here. Another problem was my 5th point in the above list - if there is no star in a particular box, how do we know they didnt appear on that show, or that they did appear on the show but no Wikipedia editor has added that information to the table? If claims are made that a particular person has definitely not been on a particular show, then there needs to be verifiable sources for that too, which could be very tricky to obtain (although not impossible). If claims cant be verified, they shouldnt be made on Wikipedia. Hopefully you can do it though since it is always disappointing to have to remove content from the site. Each show, and almost every person, in the table, is linked to their relevant Wikipedia article, which in turn is linked to either a personal biogaphy page or a page about the show on IMDB. This will verify all the data presently in the table.

Regarding the 5th point - I guess I can just add to the "key" stating that if it isn't marked, the person did not make an appearance in that show. This can be also be verified by the links from the show's individual articles. -- Chuq 12:46, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
