Arpita Mukherjee
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Arpita Mukherjee was one of the finalists of Fame Gurukul, one of the most watched Indian reality television shows. She ended up fourth in the rankings, much lower than she had expected. Because she had been singing since her childhood, she felt that she was much better than other contestants, but ultimately failed to live up to her and others' expectations.
Arpita had previously done very well on another Indian musical contest show, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa.
After finishing her graduation in Eco-Honours from Delhi University, Arpita moved to Mumbai to make a career in the music industry. Despite her not getting satisfying work in the industry for two years, her family always supported her financially as well as emotionally. She survived by doing small stage shows. After she stayed in the Gurukul for 15 weeks, life completely changed for Arpita. She got instant recognition, people from the industry started to notice her as a good singer, and she was offered many stage shows and music albums. She has become financially independent and stable now. Had Arpita not been a part of Fame Gurukul, she might still be struggling in the Music Industry.
