[edit] VPL Branches
I appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, but I really don't think we need a very tiny article on each branch of the VPL. Just listing them all under the main Vancouver Public Library article would be enough. Thank you! RADICALBENDER★ 18:08, August 25, 2005 (UTC)
Sorry, I will stop right now. I was planning to expand each article with a photo and location. I will revert the changes for now - thanks!
- Actually, let me clarify, if there's enough information for each branch to be expanded to a full article, feel free to create them, but if it's just some standard information (name, address, picture, etc.), clustering them together in the same article would probably make more sense. - I have a good friend who just got his Masters in library sciences here in Manhattan. It's a wonderful field, and I'm sure you have lot to contribute. I'm not sure it's possible to get such statistics, though you could ask on the MediaWiki mailing list. There is a variable called something like "last touched" which might tell you when someone last logged in, so perhaps you could derive something from that by querying the database. Otherwise, you would need to check the server logs, which, if you know each person's IP, you could find out who was reading each page and when, unless the pages are cached. Please could you add Image copyright tags to the images you've uploaded. If they are freely licensed, you might want to consider uploading to the Wikimedia Commons in future so that they can easily be used by other projects. Thanks. Angela. 02:56, 18 September 2005 (UTC)
