Alegria is a 5th class municipality in the province of Cebu, Philippines. According to the 2000 census, it has a population of 20,677 people in 4,229 households.

Kawayan Festival - The Municipality of Alegria, Cebu will be launching the Kawayan Festival in time for the 2006 Annual Town Fiesta. Initial plans include street dancing (mardi gras), and trade fair featuring products made of Kawayan (local bamboo).
