Östers IF is a Swedish football club located in Växjö. The club, formed April 20th 1930 (as Östers Fotbollförening), is currently playing in the highest Swedish league, Allsvenskan. Öster is the most recent club to have won Allsvenskan as newcomers, which happened in 1968. In 2006, they were relegated from Allsvenskan after only one season.
