- 新公園的正式名稱是台北公園，成立於1908年，由於興建於圓山公園之後，一般稱之為新公園。公園這類空間，是日本殖民統治期間引入台灣的一種新都市休閒空間。坐落於台北統治中心城內區的新公園，東鄰總督官邸，西接總督府，不但是台灣最早的近代公園，也是服務日本官眷僑民的休憩空間。(邱函妮)
