| Description |
The Fayette County, Texas Courthouse located at 29.9053° -96.9786°, La Grange, Texas, United States. When the structural integrity of Fayette County's third courthouse came into question, the County Comissioners hired San Antonio architect James Riely Gordon (1863-1937) to design a new courthouse. The Romanesque Revival style structure uses four types of native Texas stone to detail the exterior. The courthouse and jail complex were added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 23, 1975. |
