Kreator – niemiecka grupa thrash metalowa powstała w 1982 roku pod nazwą Tormentor. Pod obecną nazwą działa od roku 1984.
W 1984 roku nagrali kasetę demo End of the World. Po wydaniu tej płyty, podpisali kontrakt z niemiecką wytwórnią Noise na wydanie kilku albumów. W 1985 roku ukazuje się płyta Endless Pain. z tym że pod zmienioną nazwą zespołu: Kreator.
