Chris Rea
Christopher Anton (Chris) Rea (Middlesbrough (Engeland), 4 maart 1951) is een Britse zanger.
Chris Rea is met zijn krasse zangstem vooral bekend geworden met nummers als Fool (If you think it's over), Josephine en Driving home for Christmas, die nog altijd veel gedraaid worden op de radio.
Verder schreef hij een aantal nummers voor films, en een aantal van zijn bekendere nummers werden gebruikt als themamuziek. Hij speelde zelf in twee films, in 1985 in Willie and the Poor Boys en in 1999 in Parting Shots, waar hij tevens de muziek van deed. Hij schreef en produceerde de film La Passione, die in 1996 verscheen.
In 2005 heeft hij nog 11 nieuwe cd's uitgebracht (130 nummers), een dvd en een boek met schilderingen die hij gemaakt heeft tijdens zijn herstel van een ernstige ziekte rond het jaar 2000. Chris Rea heeft omstreeks 2005 bekend gemaakt dat hij bezig is aan zijn laatste tour, The Farewell Tour. Tijdens deze tour zal hij oude klassiekers en nieuwe nummers spelen.
