You have the possibility to ban a user "partly" ? That´s interesting. I´ve never heard about something like that. Does that mean, that he can answer questions on his site? Or that he comes back in some weeks ? Or both?

Might be a good alternative especially for German wikipedia - they seem to do not know about this possibility.They seem to know only "indefinite" - and they have many many problems with that.The atmosphere is really poisoned. Nearly every hour edit-wars and enduring attempts to get rid of the worst admins , naturally "indefinite" too. Greetings MutterErde 2005. december 5., 14:48 (CET)

In this case "partially banned" means that he is prohibited from editing outside the article namespace in order to prevent him from being involved in personal attack wars. I think he cannot write on user talk pages (except for his own talk page). Alensha 寫 词 2005. december 5., 15:10 (CET)
