Ostrogozhsk

Ostrogozhsk (Russian: Острогожск) is a town in Voronezh Oblast, Russia, located on the Tikhaya Sosna River (Don's tributary) 142 km south of Voronezh. It the administrative center of Ostrogozhsky District. Population: 34,585 (2002 Census); 34,492 (1989 Census).
The settlement was established in 1652 and was granted the town status in 1765.
