Novorzhev

Novorzhev (Russian: Новорже́в, literally: "New Rzhev") is a town in Pskov Oblast, Russia, located some 144 km southeast of Pskov, on the Sorot River. Population: 4,100 (2005 est.); 4,125 (2002 Census). The town was incorporated during Catherine the Great's municipal reform of 1777.
