Ilha (Santana)

Ilha (Portuguese for island) is a parish in the district of Santana in the Madeira Islands. The population in 2001 is 358, its density is 23.9/km² and the area is 15 km². Ilha is the smallest parish in population, second smallest in area and the smallest in density in Santana. It is located near Santana. The main industry is agriculture. It is connected with a road linking to Santana and the western part of the island. The Atlantic Ocean is to the north. The mountains are to the south.
