Bor (Russian: Бор) is a town in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, Russia. It is located on the left bank of the Volga River, across from Nizhny Novgorod, at . The two cities are connected by a bridge built in 1965. Population: 61,525 (2002 Census); 51,000 (1969). Bor was founded in the 14th century and became officially recognized as a town in 1938.
