United States presidential election, 2004, in Arizona

Arizona confirmed once again that the state is a Republican stronghold, by voting for President George W. Bush again in 2004. Arizona has only voted for the Democratic nominee once in the last fifty years, for Bill Clinton in 1996.
Arizona also hosted the third presidential debate on October 13 in the city of Tempe.
