Jazz is a music style, with influences from African and European cultures. Jazz started in the United States in the early 20th century, as a mix between African and Western styles of music. Typical attributes are the Blue Note, Swing, Call and Response and Improvisation. Important instruments are the piano, the trumpet, the saxophone, and the drums.
In the course of time there have been a lot of jazz styles. For example New Orleans Jazz, Bebop and so on. Until the 1950s Jazz was the most important Music in America.
