Primates are a group of mammals that contains all lemurs, monkeys, and apes, including humans. There are about 350 species of primates.
All primates are more similar to humans than most animals. They have five fingers, with fingernails (most animals have claws). Most primates have opposable thumbs, unlike most other animals.
