Svein Jarvoll

Svein Jarvoll (født 5. mai 1946 i Lurøy) er en norsk forfatter og poet, oppvokst i Oslo. Han tok en utdanning som gjorde ham bevandret i gammelgresk, og har foretatt flere gjendiktninger. Hans skriverier har den senere tid tatt en retning som han selv angir som skjønnlitterære essay, av andre karakterisert som en rytmikk av uavbrutte setninger, avsnittsfrihet og grubleri rundt sjeldne ord. Jarvoll har vært formann i Den norske Forfatterforenings Det litterære råd, har undervist ved Forfatterstudiet i Bø, og fikk Dobloug-prisen i 2001.
