Ólafía Jóhannesdóttir

Ólafía Jóhannesdóttir (født i 1863 på Island, død i 1924) var en kvinne som viet sitt liv til å hjelpe de mest vanskeligstilte i Oslos slumkvarter ved Vaterlandsbrua i begynnelsen av 1900-tallet.
Hun ble av og til referet til som Laffi eller bare Island.
Etter reisevirksomhet i Canada, USA og Storbritannia for å fremme organisasjonen Det hvite bånds sak, slo hun seg ned i Oslo. Der etablerte hun et herberge for fattige, prostituerte og alkoholikere og tilbød bad, mat og en ren seng å sove i.
Hun gav ut en bok, De ulykkeligste, som vakte stor oppsikt også ut over Norges grenser. I 1930 ble det ved Vaterlandsbrua reist en byste av Olafia.
16. november 2003 ble Olafiaprisen delt ut av Vigdís Finnbogadóttir i kulturkirken Jakob. Prisen bestod av en sjekk på 15 000 kr og et grafisk trykk.
