Kypros' sentralbank

Kypros' sentralbank (gr: Κεντρική Τράπεζα της Κύπρου, eng: Central Bank of Cyprus) er sentralbanken på Kypros.
Sentralbanken ble etablert ved en sentralbanklov av 1963, like etter frigjøringen fra Storbritannia i 1960. I 2002 ble sentralbankloven endret, bl.a. for å sikre sentralbankens uavhengighet, og for å tilbasse seg EU og ESSB sitt regelverk.
Siden Kypros er medlem av EU, er også sentralbanken medlem av ESSB – Det europeiske systemet av sentralbanker og Eurosamarbeidet. På denne måten har banken innflytelse på pengepolitikken og den økonomiske politikken både på Kypros og i EU.
Hovedmålsettingen i ESSB er å bevare prisstabilitet i EU-regionen. For tiden er dette inflasjonsmålet satt til 2%.
Sentralbanklovens seksjon 6 definerer sentalbankens hovedoppgaver;
- definere og implementere landets penge- og kredittpolitikk
- drive landets valutapolitikk
- forvalte landets valutareserver
- overvåke banknæringen
- regulere og overvåke landets betalingssystem
- være regjeringens bank
- delta i internasjonale økonomiske organisasjoner og finansorganisasjoner
