John Maxwell Coetzee (født 9. februar 1940) er en sør-afrikansk forfatter. Han har vunnet Bookerprisen to ganger.
Coetzee ble som fjerde afrikaner og andre sør-afrikaner (etter Nadine Gordimer) tildelt nobelprisen i litteratur i 2003.
