WWSI (Channel 62) is an affiliate of the Spanish-language Telemundo television network, with its city of license in Atlantic City, and transmitter in Tuckerton. WWSI is unusual among most Telemundo affiliates, because of how the station has no local newscasts or news department.

[edit] History

WWSI did not began operation until 2000. Prior to its airdate, its construction permit carried the call letters of WDKZ in 1989, followed that same year by WACI. In 2000 WACI became WPHA. The station then hit the air as WWSI, and adopted the Telemundo affiliation (originally on WTGI until 1998).
