Mary Tudor (March 28, 1495 – June 25, 1533) was the youngest daughter of Henry VII of England and Elizabeth of York. Her older brothers were Henry VIII of England and Arthur, Prince of Wales, and her older sister was Margaret Tudor, Queen of Scotland. Henry and Mary were very good friends and he even named his ship, the Mary Rose, after her.
When Mary was 18 she married Louis XII of France. She was married in Abbeville, France on the October 9, 1514. Louis was 52 years old and Mary did not want to marry him. She only married him because Henry said she could marry anyone she wanted when Louis died. After Louis had died on January 1, 1515, Mary married Charles Brandon, Duke of Suffolk.
Mary did not have any children with Louis, but she did with Charles. Her children's names were Henry, Frances and Eleanor. Frances went on to be the mother of Lady Jane Grey, who was the Queen of England for only nine days.
There is a popular children's song making fun of Mary Tudor called Mary Tooter
